About
Chris in New York

I just finish my Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering at Tufts University in Boston, but I’m originally from the Bay Area. I have been studying different image processing techniques to automatically quantifying engineered tissue. Although my research is working towards in-vivo applications of cancer detection, it’s a first step in understanding the capabilities. To reminisce, I still remember playing golf for my high school Bellarmine and sinking the pressure putts. Or the soothing sound of the waves crashing at beaches of the University of California Santa Barbara near the electrical engineering building.

More recently, I have putting my medical device training to use, by analyzing CT/MRI datasets for clinical trials although I still want to be on the cutting edge of system development. I briefly worked at P&G understanding the analytical steps necessary for larger scale product development.

My hope is to one day use non-linear optical techniques for pre-cancerous detection thereby helping patients before cancer even begins.
